The sense in which we already 'know everything', and just need to realise it

The sense in which we already 'know everything' and just need to realize it, Bruce Charlton on 05/08/2018:

At first sight this seems a ridiculous idea, that has apparently been refuted by the great accumulation of knowledge through human history; but I believe there is a sense in which the broader argument is indicative of a profound insight - and this is why the argument has been taken seriously for more than 2000 years (ie. since Plato).

The sense is that life is two curves running from childhood to maturity - a rising line of self-consciousness which increases from childhood to a maximum plateau attained at adolescence. And a descending line of innate and spontaneous knowing which is high in childhood (albeit it is an unconscious knowing), and reaches a nadir in at adolescence.

In modern society adolescence is (spiritually) usually where matters stop - what we call adulthood is not 'maturity' but merely a sustained and degenerate adolescence. Modern 'adults' have lost their spontaneous natural knowledge (instead just passively absorbing propaganda and hypothesies from 'society') and they live in a cut-off state of self-consciousness (so cut-off that it doubts and denies even itself).

The task of adolescence ought-to-be to change that descending line of knowing into an arc - rising in adult maturity to reach the same kind of spontaneous and universal knowing that we began-with - but this time it is conscious knowing.

Thus, children know everything but are unaware of the fact, adolescents know nothing and are aware of the fact; but spiritually-mature grown-ups potentially know everything, and know-what-they-know.

I say adults potentially know everything, because the process of discovering-what-you-already-know is linear and happens in-time; so it would be more accurate to say that knowledge is un-bounded, open-ended, and tends-towards a situation of knowing everything-that-can-be-known - always from the perspective of a single self.

This scenario is, presumably, why all real learning - all knowing of truth - has the distinct feeling of being a realising, a remembering, a recognition... true knowledge is always 'familiar' - we always feel that we 'always knew that' but had never articulated it [emphasis added].  I'm saying that we always Did know that - but did not realise we knew it, and could not use that knowing until after we had articulated it.

In terms of knowledge the trajectory is therefore from unconscious knowledge to conscious knowledge; from the implicit to the explicit; from immersion-in knowledge to standing outside it; from passivity through contemplation to creativity.

Give a Man a Mask... , Part II

I have this lingering suspicion that I know what is going on right now in the frontier of global consciousness.  I suppose you will have to take my word before you continue.

I believe that:

1)  We have entered into an age where words have begun almost mutating.  No one really expects the verbal inputs that they receive to be greater than 80% accurate.  Verbal inflections and social cues are now at the forefront of everyone's mind.  Only with the open expression of the primal mind is anything real expressed.  In a spiritual sense, hard hitting words are now used as curses and their opposites as blessings.  Double meanings are nearly constant.

2.)  There is absolutely an awareness of this happening.  At the forefront of this is the acknowledgement that in EVERY human being and living thing there is indescribable intelligence that is beyond our own mortal comprehension.  Combined with this is the subconscious acknowledgement that the Jews have been right all along.

3.)  The anxiety that everyone has been complaining about for the longest time is beginning to subside.  People are beginning to understand that feelings are and shape your reality.

4.)  The vibrations (think String Theory) of the subliminal messages that we receive literally sculpt and construct the next iteration of our DNA.  Spirit is reality.  We do in fact mutate like evolutionists suggest, but it is simply the result of the vibrations that we receive from other living organisms.

Thank you.  God Bless.

The Shot Heard Round the World, Part II

A Trend on Social Media

If you're still on social media (which, surprisingly, is no longer "everyone"), you may have noticed an odd trend or pattern emerging.  This is most evidenced on the platform Instagram.

People no longer desire their accounts to be globally accessible.  They are opting instead for a selected access policy of privacy.

Could this perhaps signal a trend back to modesty and humility?

Freedom?

I was on a drive recently, and in my thoughts I was stuck on the popular narrative that America is "a beacon of freedom," or the "leader of the free world."  And at those moments, I found these few sights that ... aroused my humor.  I can never be sure that you'll see them how I do, but I will make the leap.

"Stop here on Red."

 "Keep off Shoulder."

"One Way."

"Right Lane MUST Turn Right."

And so you must ask: "Freedom?  In what sense?"  The answer is some sort of illusory "well, you are free to pursue your dreams."

My answer is: "and all the routes to realize those dreams look surprisingly similar."

Germany Must Be Liberated ... From Itself

This global social policy of German shame must end.  We are now over four generations separated from the war, and a continued shame-doctrine pursued on German youth and young adults, if not ceased, will spark further an underground society which is already flourishing as is.  This over-extended period of shame has only bred a religious devotion by Germans to self-defeating policy and secretly-held resentments.

On Evil... (In the Wake of a School Shooting)

How do you face evil that has found itself a gun?  You stare it straight in the face and reveal to it that you have prepared just for this moment—you arm your own weapon, and in that second the demon is forced to look in the mirror.  For you have the exact same capacity, and yet you chose good.

Guns...

Do you trust your neighbor?

Then buy a gun.

Do you not trust your neighbor?

Then buy a gun.

How Evolutionists Get Off

The secret all Evolutionists would rather you not know is that they much prefer to mock the religious than to study their own Creation story.  Confiding their secret contempt is one of their favorite past-times.

They know that even their best lectures are incredibly dry—dating some rocks and fossils to the irretrievable depths of millions of years ago leaves much to desire.  Talk about geological activity alone and you have a dry conversation, but add the task of debasing a Creationist's argument and suddenly the topic has an aura of incredible importance ... and the Evolutionist is given the task of selling how much this stuff really rocks his world.  And they must really sell the "Over a period of millenia! ... Millenia!" with their emphasis.

Imagining a fish-frog mutating functional legs leaves a pretty negative taste for an audience.  Then you're shown a conceptual interpretation of how these things looked and moved ... and you're left wanting to kill the thing rather than give it another million years to see what it will mutate into.

Tell the Evolutionist about Sin and suddenly they become a hot-bed of pure emotion.  The calm intellectual fades into the snide sophist, periodically merging with their own rage.  The intellectual veil becomes a side show to what the audience and lecturer really came for—mockery.

The Full Circle in Education

In the early 1900's, American citizens began standing against child labor in a large scale moral crusade.  "Children are not to be manipulated for profits."  There may have been other reasons—children were most likely overrunning professions which late teenagers and early twenties persons should begin their career with.  However, the main reaction was that of moral outrage in forcing children to heavy hour labor.

So as a result, the children were put into compulsory education—and so they say "our public education system will be the best in the world!"  Well, it probably was for a time.  Children were put in quality schools to be taught the newest fields.  The children needed to know the most cutting-edge forms of logic, and so Algebra became compulsory in order to lead into Trigonometry and Calculus.  The children are taught of the social disorder of the 1960's and of the fantastic "progress" since then.

Then, they return to the outside world and see a society which does not need Calculus, and which does not need "progress" and all of its fruits.  They see that society needs ordinary trades!

So the children now go through school in a trance knowing that their studies become irrelevant at graduation, and so return home unfulfilled mid-afternoon to finish monotonous but compulsory schoolwork—for nothing other than the nod of their teacher and a letter grade.  And at days end, they play Minecraft—the most ironic of phenomena, as the game simulates the same skills and trades that the children were just a few generations ago shoo-ed away from!

The cycle has come full circle I believe.  The children now dream of the days when their work actually meant something.  They dream of building houses, designing farms to yield crops, and mining in the caverns for valuable ores.  They dream of defending their homes from mutant monsters and exploring untouched worlds.  The same activities that industry was invented to destroy are the ones the deep subconscious of the children now yearns for.

Science and Morality, II

Science-Atheists believe not only that their ideology is superior to religion, but also that it entirely eclipses the need for a religious system.  The spiritual masses would be better off to abandon their weekly religious ceremonies in exchange for locating all instances of "studies say" and "researchers have shown" in their daily mail.  These studies often read similar to 'Our world is an illusion and we are all living in a 'vast and complex hologram' say astrophysicists.'  As a result of following the Scientific Method in their search to explain the spiritual, Science-Atheists minimize much of the human experience as chemical emissions and therefore baseless.

Happiness and spiritual bliss are due to the chemical dopamine, thus the Scientific approach to a satisfying life is to find the activities which cause dopamine to be released.  If there is a disturbing lack of spiritual satisfaction, the reason is that the dopamine emitters are malfunctioning.  If the thought of having a vagina instead of a penis releases dopamine in your brain, then Rationality is telling you to cut off your penis.  "Jesus says" and "Dopamine says" therefore are ideologically equivalent.

Search for videos on the Theory of Evolution and you will be inundated with video clips of savage predatory animals chomping up the weaker ones as to demonstrate the evolutionary process of natural selection and survival of the fittest.  Science-Atheists are oblivious to the implications of this inherently philosophical statement and its existential and moral nihilism.

Evolutionists must realize the inferiority of their philosophy to the Christian ethic.  Christians are regularly mocked by Science-Atheists for their faith in a God outside of themselves, but the Science-Atheists themselves are unaware of the blind faith that they put into the society and social order outside of their door.

Science-Atheists are overwhelming liberal, and liberals are overwhelmingly anti-gun.  But if a Science-Atheist truly believes his natural selection philosophy, he too should desire a gun as it gives him an advantage over his peers.  Thus, if a Science-Atheist desires an evolutionary advantage, he should stock up on weaponry against the intent of his own law that he supports.  Similarly, they also admit that only the successful and reproductive pass on their genes.  With this in mind, they openly and enthusiastically support homosexual relationships.

I conclude that Atheism and Science are masochistic not only to the Atheist himself, but to others as well.
